Without a doubt, our team is our most valuable asset. We know our strengths, weaknesses and roles that we each play. We have strategically built our team to help address our industry’s biggest challenges and work together as a unified team.
Finance: Cindy Morley is a Partner in the company. Cindy has been a Certified Accountant since 2000 and prior to joining Flintstones in 2016, Cindy was the long-term financial controller for a business with over 200 full-time employees. She has the experience and tools to ensure we accurately forecast and control costs. We take your project finances seriously, so we have an expert who manages all project financials with the attention-to-detail you deserve.
Construction: A partner in the company since 2015, Rhett Peterson is a Certified Home Builder, who also happens to be Greater Victoria’s first to earn “Master Builder” status from the Canadian Home Builders Association. Rhett’s continued training and hard work has allowed Rhett to become a leader in our industry. We take construction seriously, so we have an expert who manages our Construction Department.
Scheduling and Project Management: Before they start the training at Flintstones, our baseline expectation for our project managers is that they are journeyman Red Seal tradespeople. We ensure that each of our project managers are focused on individual projects and that they “own” the schedule. We take scheduling and timelines seriously, so we have an expert manage every schedule for each construction project.
In the end, we know it’s not about us, it’s all about you! We are here to guide you through the complexities and uncertainties of the construction industry.

We talk-the-talk and we walk-the-walk to ensure we meet your needs and expectations. We built a showroom, office space and habitat to reflect our beliefs. We believe that people deserve a home that provides safety, comfort, inspiration and a feeling of well-being and we feel the same about our work environment.
Many of our team members spend more waking time in our office than they do at home. We knew it was important to create an environment where they could maximize their time, be creative and feel supported and inspired. From ergonomic workstations, to a pet-friendly environment, continued educational opportunities, appropriate COVID protocols and a positive company culture, we strive to provide our team with the tools they require to help us achieve our goal: To provide you with the best construction experience possible.

We have won awards and have over a hundred Five-Star Google Reviews, but more importantly, we know and understand that we have lots of room to improve. We don’t rest on our laurels. The times are changing. The products, building codes and labour market is changing. The pandemic creates its’ own challenges. We know the only thing guaranteed in this life is change; so, we’re always looking to improve and learn from our past experiences while preparing for the future.

EFFECTIVE COMMUNICATION IS KEY TO OUR SUCCESS.
Communication is defined as: Conveying a message, transmission of correspondence, “the act of transferring information from one place, person or group to another”. However you say it or describe it; it is the key to our success.
Over the years, we have established the benchmarks of communication in our industry.
Detailed Budgets & Schedules: Whether it is a custom build or a smaller renovation project, we are meticulous at detailing all costs and timelines required to complete the job. We then vigorously maintain and update our documents with full transparency at every stage. You will see multiple quotes for all third-party contractors and you will have the ability to approve all trades and materials required.
Weekly Meetings and Updates: At a minimum, we have weekly meetings with our clients to discuss our progress, schedules, budgets and any concerns, decisions, or feedback that we may require.
Detailed Change Orders: It’s okay to change your mind, but these changes may impact the schedule and budget or other aspects of the project. The most important thing is that changes and their possible impacts are discussed, clear and approved by our clients.
Unbiased and Clear Construction Agreements: Flintstones proudly utilizes Canadian Construction Documents Committee (CCDC) construction agreements for our projects. Founded in 1974, CCDC is a national joint committee responsible for the development, production and review of standard Canadian construction agreements, forms and guides.
